How do I know if my Limit watch is water resistant?Updated 3 days ago
If your Accurist watch is water resistant, it will be clearly marked with either the words “Water Resistant” or a specific water pressure rating (e.g. 30m, 50m, 100m, or 200m) on the dial and/or case back.
Please note that buttons and crowns must not be operated while the watch is in contact with water, even if it is water resistant.
If your watch does not display any water resistance markings, it should be kept away from water at all times, as it is not designed to withstand exposure to moisture (i.e washing your hands, being left on the side whilst showering, getting caught in a rainstorm and other similar situations). Failure to follow this advice will put you outside of your guarantee.
What do the water resistant markings on my watch mean?
Water resistance ratings indicate how well your Limit watch can withstand exposure to moisture under specific conditions. Below is a guide to help you understand what each marking means:
30 Metres (30M)
Suitable for everyday use. Resists splashes and rain.
Not suitable for bathing, swimming, or submersion in water.50 Metres (50M)
Offers the same protection as 30M, but can also be worn while bathing or swimming in shallow water.
Not suitable for diving.100 Metres (100M)
As above, plus suitable for poolside diving and snorkelling.
Not suitable for high board diving or SCUBA diving.200 Metres (200M)
Offers enhanced resistance suitable for SCUBA diving (within recreational limits).
Not suitable for high board diving.
Important: Regardless of water resistance rating, do not operate the crown or buttons while the watch is in contact with water.
